Prince Cassidy is defined by a re-visitation of traditional hip-hop, Pop and R&B conventions; Cassidy embraces the world of knocking 808s, the growl and punch of embellished instrumentals alongside the polished gloss of his trademark croon. The album touts features from Lon6z, Telda Trufe, You.C.La, Jaysea, Go Yeezy and more. In short, Prince Cassidy truly have not died for the Ohio award nominee—he is able to recall his own life story with remarkable clarity and translate its impact on his present with pragmatism, verity and true emotion. We’re seeing Sean Cassidy for what he is—a young man growing, progressing and learning in an ever-changing world that can be capricious and cruel, but also beautifully filled with warmth.
